The Drifthp story originates in the street culture scene of coastal America in the 2010s. Here, founder Miles Harper could often be found refining custom streetwear pieces in his urban studio, upgrading them with bold, experimental graphics and his one-of-a-kind handcrafted logo. By fortunate coincidence, he emerged during the golden era of street and drift culture, surrounded by local trendsetters and underground cultural enthusiasts. Unsurprisingly, his original, edgy creations quickly gained massive popularity among young tastemakers.

In the spring of 2012, Drifthp took a pivotal step forward and launched its first independent studio store in the heart of Los Angeles. To complement its avant-garde streetwear designs and draw in more like-minded customers, the brand officially rolled out its signature apparel line printed with the iconic hand-drawn Drifthp emblem. In no time, Drifthp became the go-to staple for street style lovers, drift culture enthusiasts, and all free-spirited youth subcultures chasing individuality.

Seeking to expand beyond urban street boundaries and explore new cultural scenes, Miles crossed paths with business strategist Ethan Carter at a national underground drift competition in California. Carter instantly recognized the explosive growth potential of Drifthp’s rising influence and decided to launch a formal partnership with the creative founder. In 2016, Drifthp Global Co., Ltd. was officially established, laying a solid foundation for the brand’s commercialization and global expansion.

As Drifthp’s reputation soared domestically, Miles seized the chance to travel globally and absorb diverse cultural inspirations. His extensive travels throughout the late 2010s fueled the worldwide spread of Drifthp’s cultural influence, giving birth to the global Drifthp Creator Network—a tight, influential community of street artists, drift athletes and fashion creatives from all corners of the world. Meanwhile, the partnership motivated Miles and Ethan to launch official Drifthp Chapter stores in core global fashion hubs, including Seoul, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Paris. (Fun Fact: A young emerging streetwear designer assisted Miles in launching the brand’s flagship LA store, who later went on to establish a world-renowned urban fashion label.)
